Fontana Lake in the Spring

ontana Lake offers a unique experience for the boating, fishing, or hiking enthusiast.  It is 29 miles long, covers 10,230 acres, and has 238 miles of shoreline.  Fontana is bordered on the North Shore by the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and on the South Shore by National Forest and a small amount of privately held land. As a result, Fonatana Lake remains mostly undeveloped.
